Photography course are held within a variety of indoor and outdoor locations. Specifically, the outdoor locations could be likely to include remote upland and mountainous areas. Given that the weather conditions in such areas can change rapidly and without notice it is important to be dressed appropriately and to be prepared for poor weather. In doing so, even poor weather can be tolerated in a degree of comfort allowing everyone to gain the most from the course. The guidance given below is necessarily brief and further advice can be supplied on request.
1.Strong shoes – preferably walking/hiking boots or Wellington boots
2.Waterproof coat with a hood
3.Warm layers – it is better to wear several thin layers rather than one thick layer. In this way layers can be added or removed according to the conditions.
4.Warm trousers – preferably not jeans (Jeans become very cold and uncomfortable when wet)
5.Warm hat / gloves
6.Small day sack for carrying lunch / drinks etc.
7.A change of clothing, including indoor shoes should be taken for the evenings.
Smoking. Within the accommodation and whilst travelling on the daytime transport, smoking is not permitted.
Bedding Bedding / linen is provided by the accommodation however you should bring your own towels
Insurance Taking Pictures will be happy to recommend an insurance broker who can arrange additional cover, if requested.
