Support before and after your Course.
Our TakingPictures.org.uk website is where we hold the internet based critique sessions & follow up web conferences.
One aspect of joining a Taking Pictures course is that the support provided extends far beyond just that given during the time actually shooting. Everyone that signs up for a course is invited to actively engage in our forum before their course. This is an excellent means of breaking the ice beforehand and is a good way of letting us know what key areas you are interested in working on during the course itself. Once the course has taken place, the forum is intended for everyone to share their experiences, ask any questions or seek advice and generally shoot the breeze on what will have been an excellent trip away.
The gallery is provided to allow everyone to post the shots they are proud and not so proud of – whilst working to foster an environment of supportive learning, our moderators are happy to critique on your gallery submissions, kick off a friendly discussion and post advice.
All of this is in support of the Internet based
critique session that is hosted following every day and weekend
course we run. Following each course, all attendees agree a time and
a date for their follow up web conference. Prior to this session,
the attendees are invited to submit examples of their work to their
tutor who will then prepare a critique, suggest follow up exercises
and provide general advice during the web conference.
