Terms and Conditions of Booking

1. A deposit of either £100 or £50,depending on the type of course, s required per person ito confirm a booking.
2. This deposit refundable up to 21 days before the date of your course. If you cancel the booking for any reason after 21 days, the deposit will not be refunded.
3. The balance of the course fee must be paid at least 14 days before the date of the course.
4. Taking Pictures reserve the right to change or cancel the course. Should an alteration or cancellation become necessary, you will then have the choice of accepting the change or withdrawing from the contract and accepting a refund of all monies paid to Taking Pictures.
5. If you cancel within 14 days of the course, no refund will be made of any money. However, Taking Pictures will make every effort to fill the cancellation with another client, and if this is done, a refund will be made for that date - less any deposit paid by you.
6. In the event of Taking Pictures being unable to run a course due to illness or other circumstances beyond his control, the course will be cancelled and all monies paid to him will be refunded - including your deposit. Unless you agree to accept an alternate date for the course.
7. Taking Pictures will not be held responsible for any other costs incurred by you (eg accommodation, travel, etc) if he is forced to cancel a course for any reason.
8. Taking Pictures reserves the right to change any of the prices, service or other particulars contained on the Taking Pictures website at any time before he enters into contract with you. If there is any change, he will notify you before he enters into such contract.
9. Taking Pictures reserves the right to amend or alter the itinerary of any course specifically according to the weather conditions prevalent or forecast. It should be understood that many of these photographic courses are held in challenging upland mountainous areas. As such the weather is liable to change rapidly and without notice. Essentially, particularly during the winter month’s, the course itinerary will always be dictated by the weather conditions in order to safeguard the groups safety and general comfort.
10. Image rights: to ensure the privacy of all course attendee’s, no photograph or image taken whilst attending this course can be reproduced, exhibited publicly or sold commercially without the express prior written consent of Taking Pictures
11. All students must sign a disclaimer form covering their own personal safety and actions while attending a course with Taking Pictures. This will read as follows:
I understand that during my photography course with Taking Pictures may visit a variety of outdoor and indoor locations. I understand that during the full duration of course, and when I am visiting, or travelling to or from these locations, I do so entirely at my own personal risk and take full responsibility for my actions.
I also understand that Taking Pictures will not be liable for any damage or loss of personal possessions or photographic equipment incurred at any time during my photography course. As such, it is my responsibility to ensure I have adequate insurance cover, specifically including single items of high value, such as camera’s and lenses.
I also understand that it is my responsibility to inform Taking Pictures of any relevant medical conditions affecting me, prior to attending my photography course, especially given that I understand that my photography course will involve some periods of time in a variety of relatively remote outdoor locations sometimes distant from any immediate form of transport.
